Sow to the Spirit, Not Flesh.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.

We are safe from the wrath of God {hell} and condemnation {accusation, judgment} when we are in Christ Jesus{saved, born-again} But there does seem to be more to this scripture than just that, lets take a look at the rest of it. When we are in Christ, or saved, it says who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. What does that all mean???

How do we walk not after the sinful flesh after we have received Christ? By walking after the spirit. The spirit walk allows us the power not to keep sinning and walking after the flesh. Not the other way around. A lot of Christians get beat up by the enemy on this, and he will keep them on a merry go round for ever. They are trying to stop something sinful in their life, by their own will and power, and then try to walk in the spirit now. It is the other way around, walk after the spirit first, be filled with the Holy Spirit, use the gifts of the spirit, be filled with the word of God, and then, we will not fulfill the lust of our flesh. If you are trying to overcome addiction ,cigarettes alcohol you will never do it by your own will. First tend to the spiritual, fill that void with the word of God, with the will of God, with the work of God, and then you will have power over the flesh. We can step off the treadmill the enemy has put us on, by trying to be good and failing, by simply walking in the spirit first. That's where the power is and thats where we need to be.

Sow seeds to the spirit, and we will reap of the Spirit, life and joy . Sow seeds to the flesh, and we will reap corruption. Good has overcome evil, when we reap to the spirit. Romans 8:13 The devil is defeated by our obedience. He has no ground, you have given him none, by walking after the spirit, then our flesh is under the control of the spirit.

Romans 8:13

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

We mortify or deaden the deeds of the body, or sinful flesh, by the Holy Spirit of God, and living after it. If we live totally after the flesh, and our own sin, we shall reap corruption and die. We will die spiritually, and it could lead to physical death as well from sin. Obedience is a safe and wonderful place God has provided for us, where he can bless us and defeat the enemy. Sin is a trick from the enemy to get us over onto unholy ground where he can hurt and destroy us. Let's discern the difference, and keep it firmly in our hearts every day. We are the sowers, our actions count in the spirit realm, and will make a difference on what happens to us. We are the sowers, and we are the reapers of our own actions. God has shown us how to sow to the spirit, and reap a life that is blessed. Thank you so much for this Jesus.
